At the University of Iowa, women as faculty, staff, and students have used their personal experiences to shape their approach to teaching, their community engagement, and their research. This exhibit introduces the experiences of women who are or have been a part of the University of Iowa community.
Here we are highlighting some strong women of the Iowa campus who, as faculty members and graduate students, have used their personal experiences and challenges to positively change research, the humanities, and the state of Iowa. These innovative women contributed to dramatic changes in policy, research, or the way we think about the past in Iowa and the Midwest.
