The Women and Politics in Iowa project builds on research being conducted by graduate students and faculty at the University of Iowa thanks to the close proximity and excellent resource of the Iowa Women's Archives and recent renewed interest in documenting the history of women in politics.

In Political Scrapbooks and the Iowa Women's Archives, History Corps member Danielle Hoskins presents a photographic essay about the scrapbooks kept by two Iowa lawmakers in the 1950s and 60s, which she used in her MA project.

With her oral history, Professor Landon Storrs provides her insights into the strategies political women have used while campaigning and holding office, and speaks to the importance of women's archives.
